What It Allows

A Type 10 licensee may manufacture destructive devices and the ammunition for them, and may deal in what it manufactures. The fee is $1,000 per year, three years at a time.

SOT And Registration

Manufacturing NFA destructive devices requires Class 2 SOT registration on ATF Form 5630.7 in addition to the license. Each device manufactured is registered to the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record on the appropriate form.

Marking, Storage And Explosives

Manufacturers must mark items with serial number, manufacturer name and location, model and caliber as applicable. Where the device contains explosive material, a separate federal explosives license or permit and compliant magazine storage are also required.
